Welcome New Coaches

As a new coach you might find everything a bit overwhelming, I know I did.

So I decided to put together this brief introduction to what it is like to coach here at the AIY Soccer Club.

This is just my own observations and might not be the views of all the other coaches.  Any input will be highly appreciated as it will help make this page a useful resource for new coaches. This information will be geared towards U6 teams because most coaches will start here, but I can add more if interest shows.

When I first started, I didn’t even know where the field was, had no idea how to coach or how to handle all the work that goes into being a coach, and the pages on this part of the website will hopefully help you get started.

I was a new coach, starting in 2008 coaching my daughter’s team.

I must admit that I always wanted to coach.  I can watch most sports, but soccer is one of the only sports I really care about.

I moved here from Denmark in 1998 and have followed the national Danish team who have failed to qualify for any of the larger events since they won the European Championship in 1992.

I am a software developer running my own business @ www.djfdesign.com.  Feel free to contact me with any of your computer needs from computer sales, repair, websites to software development and computer training.

You are very welcome to contact me in relation to these pages, but for club related issues please see the directory on the main page of AIYSoccer.org.
My email address is soccer@djfdesign.com.

Thank you for watching. I hope you will find this information useful.
